Prepare for Hurricane Season. Three things you need to know if you live in Florida

The time of extra rain has already come to the Sunshine State. For Floridians, constant and strong rains are the norm from July to November each year, and that also implies that Hurricane Season is here and some property preventions need to be taken care of:

  • It’s time to make sure that your roof, windows, and doors are in perfect conditions. Make sure to check for any damage and to plan for repairs. During rainy days some fixes could be impossible to address  and becomes a headache if a storm is approaching.
  • Review your property’s insurance coverage. Often, basic property insurance will not suffice for storm damage, and an upgrade could give you peace of mind.
  • If a storm or hurricane is approaching, make sure to protect windows, bring in patio furniture indoors, and follow authorities’ instructions. Never underestimate the precautions you can take for yourself, your loved ones, and your property.
